About this notice
This notice describes the small amount of browser storage used by joloconnect.co.za. Cookies are text records sent by a website and retained by a browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature, but it is controlled by website code rather than sent automatically with each request.
Technology currently in use
JoloConnect does not currently run audience analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural profiling, embedded social feeds or cross-site marketing cookies. Visiting an ordinary content page does not create a marketing profile.
Essential session cookie
PHPSESSID may be created when the enquiry form is submitted. It allows the server to apply submission security and short-term rate limiting. It is a first-party session cookie and normally expires when the browsing session or server session ends.
The form may not work reliably if the browser refuses this cookie. It is not used to follow visitors between websites.
Saved privacy choice
joloconnect-cookie-settings is saved in local storage after a visitor chooses “Use essential only” or saves the settings panel. The record contains the chosen categories and the date of the choice. It prevents the banner from appearing on every page and remains until the visitor clears site data.
Your current options
Essential storage is always active where needed for security and form operation. Analytics and marketing are shown as off because no such tools are configured. The settings panel does not place analytics or marketing cookies.

Browser controls
Browsers generally allow visitors to view, delete or block cookies and local storage for a particular website. Clearing JoloConnect site data removes the saved choice, so the banner will appear again. Browser help pages explain the exact steps for each device and version.
Changes to the website
If analytics, embedded third-party media or advertising technology is introduced later, this notice and the settings panel will be updated before non-essential technology is enabled. The revised date at the top of this page will show when the notice last changed.
